The first Demon Slayer Infinity Castle film announces 2025 release with first visual

On December 9, 2024, during a convention in Brazil, Crunchyroll and Ufotable announced the premiere of the first Demon Slayer Infinity Castle film, which will be in 2025. A new visual was unveiled on the occasion and featured in an announcement trailer on Crunchyroll's official YouTube channel. The title, duration, and everything else about the movie are yet to be revealed.

The announcement trailer commenced with a compilation of scenes from the series prequels centered around the clash between demon slayers and demons. It mainly focused on the meeting between Kibutsuji Muzan and Ubuyashiki.

Moreover, another key focus moment was when every Hashira, alongside Tanjiro's group, was pulled into the Infinity Castle. The announcement trailer for the first Demon Slayer Infinity Castle film ended with its release window (exclusively for theatres) in 2025.

The first teaser visual, revealed during the convention and in the announcement trailer for the first Demon Slayer Infinity Castle film, featured an inside view of the Infinity Castle as a crow (presumable a Kasugai Crow) was seen flying inside it. The announcement didn't unveil anything about the staff members, title, or movie duration (expected to be revealed soon).

The Infinity Castle arc of Demon Slayer is set to be adapted into three movies (hence a trilogy) that was announced on June 30, 2024. Moreover, Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment acquired the rights to air the first Demon Slayer Infinity Castle film and the others worldwide.

The series has received four seasons and an anime film in the past, all animated by the animation studio Ufotable (Fate franchise). While the first season featured the story of Tanjiro and his family, the upcoming seasons covered the Mugen Train arc (anime film), the Entertainment District Arc (season 2), the Swordsmith Village arc (season 3), and the Hashira Training Arc (season 4).

The series is an action-supernatural one following the story of Kamado Tanjiro, who lives in the mountains with his family. One day, he decides to stay away from home as night falls, and he has to be wary of demons that wander around the forest. After returning home the next day, Tanjiro witnessed the massacre of his entire family, and sadly, his little sister (Nezuko) was transformed into a demon.

Witnessing such a horrid sight, the protagonist kept his tact and took control of the situation. However, he wanted to take revenge against the demon who did this to his family. So, he decided to set on a journey to become a demon slayer and slay the King of demons.
