The Most Notorious "Talker" Runs the World's Greatest Clan ending explained: Why did Leon join Noel's clan?
With the release of The Most Notorious "Talker" Runs the World's Greatest Clan episode 12, the anime finally concluded. While the series left fans with several questions leading up to a possible second season, something that left fans most confused was why Leon joined Noel's clan, Wild Tempest.
Leon Fredric joined Noel Stollen's Wild Tempest as he wanted to preserve his former party's legacy. The Winged Knights was the best B-Class party but, as pointed out by Noel Stollen, they were on the verge of disbandment. Thus, despite his doubts and regrets, Leon accepted Noel's request hoping to preserve what mattered most to him.
Why did Leon forgive Noel in The Most Notorious "Talker" Runs the World's Greatest Clan?
Leon Fredric forgave Noel Stollen in The Most Notorious "Talker" Runs the World's Greatest Clan because he knew that the Blue Beyond leader was right all along. The skill gap between Leon and his Winged Knights party members was too much.
Therefore, despite their relentless efforts, they were always dragging back Leon during missions. Hence, there was already a huge crack between the party members. The only thing that Noel did was give them a push to disband their party. Even Leon had accepted that the Winged Knights would have disbanded even if Noel hadn't interfered. This is why, despite Noel Stollen's heinous actions, Leon Fredric forgave him.
Why did Leon join Wild Tempest?
Leon Fredric joined Wild Tempest to keep Winged Knights' legacy intact. As Leon explained, he had come to understand that his party members were weighing him down and there was no future for them regardless of what Noel did to them. However, he could not admit it. This is because doing so would mean that all their work together meant nothing.
Just as Leon felt hopeless about regaining what he had lost, Noel reassured him that would not be the case. Sure, the glory of the Winged Knights would become a thing of the past. To make it worse, only Leon's tarnished legacy will remain. But in time, even that will be forgotten.
However, if the former leader of the Winged Knights were to carve out a legacy for himself as a Seeker, the Winged Knights' name would continue to live on. Leon believed that joining Wild Tempest would make him a real traitor. However, Noel immediately asked him to cast aside his emotions as they wouldn't help him or his friends. If Leon wanted to preserve what mattered the most in the history books, he needed to cast everything else aside.
With such strong words, Noel Stollen convinced Leon Fredric to join his Wild Tempest clan. While the former Winged Knights leader still had his suspicions, he decided to join after hearing Noel's goal of becoming the greatest Seeker. With that, he also hoped that he would be able to etch the legacy of the Winged Knights into the history books.
