Wind Breaker chapter 165, titled Haven, commenced with Sugishita following Umemiya after the Furin leader saved him from a gang of delinquents and joined the same junior high school. At this time, the only people on Umemiya's side were the three Heavenly Kings (as Hiiragi was still part of another group).

On the first day of his arrival at Junior High, Sugishita received a warm welcome from his seniors and received different gifts from them. Where Tsubaki gifted him hair oil to take care of his long hair, the other two gave him some anime merchandise and a painting. However, the gift that made Sugishita the happiest was Umemiya's shirt.

After giving the newbie gifts, the talk shifted to Hiiragi and how he was crucial for Umemiya's ultimate goal to take over Furin High. Umemiya wanted to transform the school into a place where people would come to receive help. As expected, Sugishita volunteered to help Umemiya in his plan, which was where the character's origins concluded.

Umemiya then brought up the case of Sakura and advised Sugishita to sort out his feelings regarding the protagonist. As Sugishita wanted to ask about Sakura, Umemiya urged that he contact someone close to the protagonist. So, Sugishita kidnapped Nirei from the classroom. The chapter ended with Nirei and Sugishita sitting in an empty room with the former scared to death.

The title of Wind Breaker chapter 166 is yet to be revealed. As hinted by the climax of the previous chapter, the next chapter might see a meeting between Sugishita and Nirei where the latter would ask the former about Sakura's 'likes' and 'dislikes.'

Given the relationship of Sakura and Nirei, the former might know some aspects of the former. However, Nirei might deny telling Sugishita anything about Sakura given how he might want to see Sugishita learn about the protagonist on his own. Moreover, Wind Breaker chapter 166 might also see the entry of Sakura.
