Archery GT Open 2024 Medal Tally: Updated standings after the tournament
Netherlands secured first place in the GT Open 2024 medal tally with two gold medals. They won a gold in the men's compound event and another in the Women's Under-21 recurve event.
Croatia finished second with three medals, including one gold, one silver, and a bronze. India and Korea were tied for the third position, with a couple of medals each, having won a gold and silver apiece.
Abhishek Verma secured the silver medal in the men's compound event. Mike Schloesser from the Netherlands and Nicolas Girard from France won the gold and silver medals, respectively.
Jyothi Surekha Vennam clinched the gold medal for India in the women's compound event. Belgium's Sarah Prieels and Italy's Elisa Roner bagged the silver and bronze medals in the event.
France finished fifth with three medals, having clinched a gold and two bronze medals. Germany and Luxembourg secured sixth place with one gold medal each.
Belgium are placed eighth with a couple of silver medals, while Italy are ninth in the standings with a silver and two bronze medals. Sweden and Canada are placed 10th with one silver medal each.
Demark, Turkiye, and Spain jointly hold the 12th position with one bronze medal each. A total of 24 medals were secured by 14 nations at the GT Open Archery competition at Strassen in Luxembourg from November 15 to 17.
Hosts Luxembourg won their only medal in the women's under-21 compound event. Lea Tonus clinched a gold medal for the hosts, while Jennifer Winsenne from Sweden and Alexa Misis Olivares from Spain were the two other medalists in the junior event.
India had nine participants in the tournament, with five archers competing in the men's compound event. Jyothi was the lone Indian in action in the women's compound event.
