
India wins 6 medals at Para-Archery European Cup 2023
Indian Archers were a part of the recent Para-Archery European Cup 2023 that took place from May 14 to May 20. The city of Nove Mesto nad Metuji, Czech Republic hosted the Tournament.
The Indian Archers took part in the following events: Compound and Recurve. With subcategories for men and women as Open, Open Doubles, and Mixed Teams. The archers who secure the medal for India at the Para-Archery European Cup 2023 include:
The Dynamic duo of Rakesh and Shyam brought the Golden Glory to India at the Para-Archery European Cup 2023. The pair won the Gold medal for India. They had the following score for the win in the finals of the compound Men Open Doubles event: 40, 79, and 116 and the total of the running scores was 154.
Sheetal and Jyoti were able to grab the second rank at the event. The score of their win in the finals of their category was 37, 76, and 113 and then the total of the running scores was 152.
Another Gold winning team for India at the competition. Sheetal and Rakesh Kumar replicated their performances in the Doubles round of the compound category. The winning scores of the duo were 38, 75, and 113, and the total running score was 151.
Sheetal Devi won for India in multiple categories which also include the individual category in Compound women open. The score for her win was 29, 56, 84, and 113 and the final of the running score was 142.
Harvinder Singh was able to clinch bronze. He participated in the Recurve Open category for men. The score of his win was 2, 2, 0, and 2 in the first 4 sets and the total of the set points was 6.
Next up were Harvinder and Dhanna Ram. The pair defeated the Great Britain team of David Phillips and Cameron Radigan. The score of the win was 2, 0, 2, and 2 in the first four sets and the total set points counted up to 6. While the GB team could score only two.
