Federation Cup Athletics 2024: Neeraj Chopra, Praveen Chithravel, Poovamma R, Muhammed Ajmal win gold medals on final day
Tamil Nadu's Praveen Chithravel clinched the gold medal in the Men's Triple Jump event by jumping 16.79m. Kerala's Eldhose Paul and Tamil Nadu's Mohammed Salahuddin S N finished second and third with a jump of 16.59m and 16.25m, respectively.
Abdulla Aboobacker secured fourth place in the competition with a jump of 16.23m. Punjab's Gurindervir Singh clinched the Men's 100m gold medal with a time of 10.35s.
Neeraj Chopra (82.27m), Manu D P (82.06m), and Uttam Balasaheb Patil (78.39m) were the top three performers in the men's javelin throw event.
Karnataka's Poovamma Raju clocked a time of 53.32s to win the women's 400m. Haryana's Summy finished second with a time of 53.46s, while Tamil Nadu's R Vithya Ramraj secured third place with a time of 53.25s.
In the men's 400m event, Kerala's Muhammed Ajmal V won the gold medal with a time of 45.91s. The second place was awarded to Tamil Nadu's Santhosh Kumar T, who clocked a time of 46.48s.
