"I'm the fastest man alive"- IShowSpeed takes a dig at Noah Lyles as he claims 'tie' after going head to head in MrBeast's $100,000 race challenge

Wednesday night was fun for Olympic champion Noah Lyles and YouTube creator Darren Jason Watkins Jr., better known as IShowSpeed. The two ran a 50m dash, sponsored by another YouTuber James Stephen Donaldson, better known as MrBeast.

Lyles agreed to participate in the 50m dash with the Youtuber, which had a grand prize of $100000. The Olympic champion won the race, but not before the 19-year-old YouTuber almost shocked him by running neck-to-neck.

IShowSpeed termed this contest a tie and took a playful dig at Lyles by posting a clip of the race on his Instagram with the caption,

"FASTEST MAN ALIVE 🏃🏾💨 #ishowspeed vs #noahlyles"

The Olympic champion also had a playful banter with the YouTuber, as he posted on his Instagram,

"@ishowspeed wanted that tie so bad 😭"

The 27-year-old sprinter also uploaded a photograph with MrBeast and IShowSpeed on his Instagram story. He carried the banter forward on his X handle, as he posted,

"Well that was fun"

However, that was not all. In another post, Lyles shared a video of the YouTuber wearing spikes, as he cheekily added,

"Had to give @ishowspeedsui some spikes so he could run faster"

After winning an Olympic gold in 100m and a bronze medal in the 200m event at the Paris Olympics, Noah Lyles is currently enjoying his off-season. He also got engaged to his long-time girlfriend Junelle Bromfield, a Jamaican sprinter who specializes in the women's 400m and the women's 4x400m relay events.

Noah Lyles has also been in the news for his much-awaited sprint against the NFL player Tyreek Hill. Before the Paris Olympics, Lyles invoked the ire of many by claiming that NBA players should refrain from calling themselves 'world champions'.

Hill called out Lyles for his comments and challenged him for a race. When the American sprinter came third in the 200m race at the Paris Olympics, Hill mocked him and commented,

"Noah Lyles can't say nothing after what just happened to him. You know what I'm saying? Then he wants to come out and pretend like he's sick. I feel like that's like horseradish. So, for him to do that and say that we're not world champions of like our sport, like come on, bro, just speak on what you know about, you know what I'm saying? And that's the track. I would beat Lyles. No, I wouldn't beat him by a lot, but I would beat Noah.”

Initially, Lyles refused to take Hill seriously, but after a lot of provocations, he finally accepted the challenge. When asked if he would put his Olympic medals in the race against the NFL wide receiver from the Miami Dolphins, Lyles responded,

"What has he earned to deserve that status? Play football and he is a great football player. But you don't get to jump the lines because you think you are fast. There are tons of those people in the world out there."

Noah Lyles and Tyreek Hill will race each other in 2025. The race will be a part of the much talked about 'Super Serious on Sight' series, which will be hosted by Terry Crews.
