National Inter-State Senior Athletics Championships 2024: Karnataka, Tamil Nadu break Meet Record in women's 4x100m relay

Karnataka and Tamil Nadu broke the Meet Record in the women's 4x100m relay at the National Inter-State Senior Athletics Championships 2024. They secured the first and second places, respectively.

The Karnataka relay team, consisting of Kaveri Patel, Simi N S, Daneshwari T, and Sneha S.S completed the race in 45.38 seconds to set a new Meet record at the National Inter-State Senior Athletics Championships.

Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu also broke the meet record, clocking a time of 45.50 seconds. The four athletes on the team were Nithya Ramraj, Pavithra R, G Ravikumar, and B Bhagavathi.

The previous meet record of 45.69 seconds was held by the Tamil Nadu 4x100 relay team, which was set during the 2019 edition of the National Inter-State Senior Athletics Championships.

Odisha clinched the bronze medal with a time of 46.65s. The team was led by Srabani Nanda and the remaining three players were Sukhi Baskey, Manisha Merel, and Merymukta Soreng.

Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh finished fourth, fifth, and sixth, respectively, in the women's 4x100m relay final at the National Inter-State Senior Athletics Championships 2024.

The Punjab relay team did not start the women's 4x100m relay event. The National Record for the event stands at 43.37s, which was set on June 21, 2021 by the Indian women's 4x100m relay team.
