Video: Manchester United legend Ruud van Nistelrooy pays unique tribute to Usain Bolt
One of the greatest athletes and sportspersons of all-time, Usain Bolt brought down the curtains on his glittering career after the IAAF World Athletics Championships last month. It did not end ideally for the legendary Jamaican as he pulled up during his last-ever race, the 4x100m relay final and ended his World Championships campaign with a solitary bronze from the 100m dash.
After his retirement, people and celebrities from across the globe paid tribute to the track and field icon, applauding him for his superhuman feats and achievements. However, quite recently, one tribute caught the eye as it was by former Manchester United and Real Madrid striker Ruud van Nistelrooy, the man who made Bolt support United.

It's no secret that the Jamaican is a huge fan of the Red Devils and has made his love for the club public on many occasions. In an interview with the club's website, he even revealed, "Ruud was the one who made me start supporting Manchester United."
He said, "Just watching him play, a striker at the level he was, playing for United. It was like 'this guy is one of the best', you know what I mean, and, for me, he is why I started watching Manchester United."
The legendary Dutchman paid tribute to Bolt with a post on social media, calling him the 'Goat'. He shared a video of him making a 100m sprint on Jamaican soil as a tribute to 'everything Bolt had done and all the gold medals he had won.'
Ruud van Nistelrooy was a firm fan favourite at United during his time and it is no surprise to think of a young Bolt getting mesmerised by the great Dutchman strutting his stuff on the pitch. van Nistelrooy's tribute is also wonderful to see and shows the respect Bolt garners among people across the globe.
