2015 US Open: Round-up of Day One results
The 2015 US Open Grand Prix Gold kicked off in New York on Tuesday. While the likes of Saina Nehwal, Parupalli Kashyap etc were missing in action, it was a good opportunity for the likes of Tanvi Lad, Anand Pawar etc to stake a claim and put in good performances.
It proved to be a good day for India in the end, with 5 out of the 5 contenders in the main draw progressing to the second round while the doubles pairing of Tarun Kona and K Dilshad also qualified for the main draw.
