PV Sindhu had scored over every top player in the world at one time or another in the course of past two years. Reaching the final of four Super Series this season, she had won Gold in two of them and managed Silver in the other two.
Here are the four series finals, Sindhu played and won a gold or silver. Let's have a look at them.
#1 Indian Open Super Series

Indian Open Super Series was the first super series final Sindhu reached this year. The match was all exciting and thriving as Carolina Marin of Spain and Sindhu clashed for the title. The two players faced each other back in 2016 Rio Olympics where Marin defeated Sindhu to win gold.
However, this match came up with different colours. The third seed Sindhu won her maiden medal in the series by beating Carolina Marin. She lifted the title by winning against Marin in straight games 21-19, 21-16, avenging her defeat in Rio Olympics last year.
