PV Sindhu slams airline on Twitter over complaints of rude behaviour
In a series of tweets, ace shuttler and Olympic silver medalist PV Sindhu slammed IndiGo Airlines over complaints of bad behaviour on Saturday. She took to the social media site to express her dissatisfaction, stating that she was subject to rude behaviour by a ground staff personnel.
In the next tweet, she explained the series of events from her side and stated that a member of the ground staff behaved rudely and inappropriately with her.
After that, the air hostess tried to intervene and to the shuttler's dismay, the staff member then spoke quite rudely to her as well.
Fans reacted in shock as they could not believe the incredible turn of events. When asked to elaborate on the matter further, Sindhu tweeted that the air hostess, Ms. Ashima, will be in a better position to explain the incident in detail.
A Twitter user also cheekily replied to the badminton star that the name 'Bombay' is incorrect and that she should use the correct name to refer to the city. As a result, the shuttler quickly tweeted her response and corrected herself.
The three-time World Championship medalist and reigning world number two had arrived in Mumbai to take part in the exhibition event organized by Yonex in the city on Saturday.
This not the first time that an Indian sportsperson has taken to Twitter over an issue with an airline company. Earlier, Sachin Tendulkar and Harbhajan Singh had also tweeted out after an unsatisfactory experience with British Airways and Jet Airways respectively.
The ace shuttler will be seen in action in Nagpur next at the Senior National Championships, where she will be the top seed in the women's singles.
