5 active MLB stars with the most career Gold Glove Awards ft. Mookie Betts

This year, Major League Baseball has announced 14 first-time Gold Glover winners. This is tied for the most since 2022. However, that was the year they introduced the award for utility players.

Some new players, like Patrick Bailey, received their first, while others, like Christian Walker, have added to their collection. With the 2024 awards out, we take a look at five active players with the most Gold Gloves.

5 active MLB players with the most Gold Glove Awards

1) Nolan Arenado

Nolan Arenado has the most Gold Glove Award among any active player, and it is not really close. He has amassed 10 over the course of his career with the St. Lous Cardinals.

From his range to his strong arm, Arenado is arguably the best third baseman in all of baseball. He has the left side of the infield locked down.

2) Mookie Betts

Mookie Betts comes in second on this list with six. He missed out on the award this year, moving to the infield, and that does not look like it will change next season.

3) Salvador Perez

Salvador Perez comes in next on this list, with five to his name. He is the only catcher to crack the top five, showing just how much he has meant to the Kansas City Royals over the years.

4) Matt Chapman

Matt Chapman is ranked fourth with four. The slugger is tied with DJ LeMahieu, but he has played in fewer games, giving him a slight edge.

5) DJ LeMahieu

DJ LeMahieu rounds out our list with four. The Yankees' slugger was exceptional during the mid-to-late 2010s, winning three. He won his fourth during the 2022 season, which will likely be his last unless he comes out during the 2025 season a changed man.
