5 player injuries that could shape the postseason ft. Tyler Glasnow, Grayson Rodriguez

The MLB regular season is quickly coming to an end and teams have shifted their sight to the postseason. Some teams have put themselves in a great position, while others have some work to do with not much time.

Some other teams are navigating injuries that could impact how they look come playoffs. Here's a closer look at five injuries that may hurt teams when the regular season comes to an end.

5 player injuries that could impact the postseason

#5. Francisco Lindor

Francisco Lindor is currently dealing with a back injury that has kept him out of the last few games. While the injury does not seem extreme, it could be a lingering issue for a slugger who has carried the New York Mets.

Lindor was seen taking batting practice ahead of Friday's matchup with the Philadelphia Phillies. He is considered day-to-day but the Mets do not want to rush him back.

#4. Christian Yelich

A month ago, Milwaukee Brewers slugger Christian Yelich had season-ending back surgery. He will miss the postseason after the Brewers clinched the NL Central, and will be back next season.

#3. Ha-Seong Kim

The San Diego Padres have been without Ha-Seong Kim since the middle of August. The slugger is dealing with a shoulder injury but could return to the lineup soon.

He has plans to ramp up his throwing program over the next few days in hopes of returning. There is no denying SD's lineup is better with him in it, but there is no telling when he could return.

#2. Grayson Rodriguez

Grayson Rodriguez is an important cog in the Baltimore Orioles rotation. However, the hard-throwing righty is dealing with a right lat/teres major strain that has put him on the IL.

Rodriguez is hopeful to return ahead of the postseason, but time is starting to run out. If he can, it would be a major boost to Baltimore's rotation.

#1. Tyler Glasnow

Tyler Glasnow is struggling to return to the mound for the Los Angeles Dodgers. He initially had tendinitis in his throwing arm but suffered a setback during a simulated game last weekend.

Thankfully, there was no new damage to his ulnar collateral ligament. However, his health over the last few seasons has become frustrating, especially given how talented he is. It does not look likely that he will be ready to go when the playoffs roll along.
