Best Home Run Prop Bets for Mets vs. Braves Game 1 on September 29, 2024
The New York Mets and Atlanta Braves doubleheader on Monday is being played thanks to a scheduling oddity. Inclement weather prevented them from happening last week, meaning those are the only two MLB games today where home runs can be hit.
This makes predicting who will hit home runs even more challenging since there are just around 20 players who could conceivably be in lineups today. Nevertheless, we compiled a list of the top players you'll want to keep an eye on from DraftKings today.
Note: These odds and predictions are for Game 1. The Game 2 odds will be different.
Best MLB home run prop bets for Mets-Braves Game 1
3) Francisco Lindor: +475
Francisco Lindor returned with an absolute bang last night. With the Mets needing a win, he had multiple hits and his 32nd home run of the season. It was his fourth in 15 games during September, and he represents the Mets' best shot at going deep off of projected Atlanta starter Spencer Schwellenbach (8-7, 3.47 ERA). He has the hand advantage and is the Mets' best hitter.
2) Matt Olson: +450
Matt Olson has been a much better hitter of late, and the Braves superstar has 29 home runs this season. Four of those have come this month, but none in the last week. He's due for one soon. The Mets are either going to start Tylor Megill or Luis Severino in these two games, which means he'll face one of them in Game 1. Either way, it's a solid matchup for the Braves first baseman.
1) Marcell Ozuna: +340
Marcell Ozuna has, this season, been the most prolific home run hitter for either team. He's at 39 home runs this year and is on the verge of being just the fifth player to cross 40 homers this season. He has one in the last week and two this month, so he's due to break out. Today could be the day as he faces the same pitcher(s) as Olson does.
