Corey Seager's wife Madisyn relives 'college roomies' nostalgia while getting ready with close friend Savanna Good on her engagement day
Ever since he was in high school, Corey Seager has looked to his now-wife, Madisyn, for support and inspiration. Recently, the wife of the Rangers shortstop took some time to connect with old friends.
Both natives of North Carolina, Corey and Madisyn met at Northwest Carrabus High School in Concord, North Carolina. After high school, Madisyn attended East Carolina University, where she featured on the cheer, and track and field teams.
Recently, Madisyn took to Instagram to show off the fun she was having with old college friends. Ostensibly ahead of an engagement party, Madi Seager said that catching up with old mate Savanna Good "felt like we were roomies in college again."
While Madisyn went off to East Carolina University, Corey Seager opted to play baseball at the University of South Carolina. However, he was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers 18th overall in the 2012 Draft.
As such, Corey and Madisyn Seager lost contact while he made his MLB debut and she finished her studies at the East Carolina University. However, the pair re-connected in 2015, and in 2019, while they were attending a New England Patriots game, Corey got down on one knee and proposed to his longtime romantic interest.
Ahead of the 2022 season, Corey Seager inked a 10-year, $325 million deal with the Texas Rangers, the largest in that franchise history. After a career season at the dish, Seager was named the World Series MVP as his team won the Fall Classic in 2022.
Corey Seager's wife Madisyn is his ultimate rock
From his days as a budding ballplayer to lifting the World Series trophy together, Madisyn has been a constant in Seager's high-performing career. As the Rangers shortstop told PEOPLE last April:
“I think I always knew I would propose one day. It’s not very often you meet someone and have an instant connection. It really hit me one night when we were dancing in the kitchen together making dinner … I knew in that moment I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her.”
Already the modern face of his team, big expectations will be on Corey Seager's shoulders as the Rangers gear up for the 2025 campaign.
