Freddie Freeman's wife Chelsea's 4-word reaction sums up Dodgers vs. Yankees World Series anticipation

For Freddie Freeman and his wife, Chelsea, the fact that this is not their first Fall Classic does not make the runup to the 2024 World Series any less exciting. With the final showdown of the season kicking off on Friday, Chelsea has shared that she is beyond ready.

On Thursday, Chelsea offered a simple, yet accurate description of the anticipation on Instagram. Against the backdrop of an image of the jumbotron at Dodger Stadium, Chelsea asked, "Who else can't sleep?"

The fact that Chelsea is so eager is a testament to the fact that being part of the Fall Classic never gets old. In 2021, Chelsea took the field by Freddie's side as the Atlanta Braves captured their first World Series title in 26 seasons.

A native of Florida, Chelsea met Freddie Freeman while she was still attending college in her home state. Since tying the knot in 2014, the pair have welcomed three boys, including twins. Chelsea and the boys are often seen supporting Freddie and even flew to South Korea to watch the first baseman open the 2024 MLB season against the San Diego Padres in Seoul.

Injuries have kept Freddie Freeman on the bench for eight out of the Los Angeles Dodgers' eleven playoff games this season. In 32 at-bats thus far, Freeman is hitting .219/.242/.219 with an RBI.

After sitting out the final game of the NLCS, Freeman is ready to get back in the lineup for his club. Despite the fact that the Dodgers are 3-0 in these playoffs without Freeman in the lineup, everyone knows his impact is palpable. As the former MVP told MLB.com:

“Right now, I’m not thinking about game-time decisions, I think with this time off, it’s going to be a 100% go for me in Game 1 and we’ll adjust off of that after Game 1. But I don’t think there’s any question in anybody’s mind that I will be in the lineup for Game 1.”

A clutch hitter with extensive playoff experience, Freeman might just be the ace card his team needs in Game 1 on Friday, and beyond.
