"Go babes!" - Corey Seager's wife Madisyn celebrates husband's 1100th career hit during Rangers vs. Angels clash

After an oddly sluggish start to the season, Corey Seager appears to have found his stride. The Texas Rangers star reached yet another career milestone during a game against a divisional foe.

In the first inning of the Rangers' game against the Angels on Monday night, Seager stepped up to face pitcher Davis Daniel as the second batter of the game. After fouling off a ball and taking another strike, Seager lofted the ball 457 feet to center field for a two-run home run.

The blast against the Los Angeles Angels represented Seager's 17th home run and 45th RBI of the season, and the longest bomb he has ever hit as a Ranger.

In the seventh inning, Seager hit a double against Carson Fulmer. Although the mammoth home run was certainly more flashy, the hit itself was more significant, as it represented the 1,100th time in Corey Seager's 10-year career that he hit a ball into play.

Among those who were celebrating Seager's career milestone was his wife, Madisyn. Taking to her Instagram, the shortstop's wife captioned a picture of Seager:

Corey first met Madisyn while they were high school students in North Carolina. After Seager went to play for the Dodgers, the couple adopted a long-distance relationship while Madisyn finished college. In 2019, the pair got engaged and were married a year later.

When the Texas Rangers won the World Series last year with Corey Seager as the series MVP, it was Madisyn who was one of the first people on the field to celebrate. As Seager himself told Inside Weddings in an interview earlier this year:

“The most memorable part of meeting her was how nice she was, even back then it was easy to hangout and talk with her. Also, she was pretty cute!”

Now a .417 hitter since July 1, it appears as though Seager is preparing for another push for the postseason.
