In Photos: Pete Alonso's wife Haeley documents breathtaking getaway to Ireland, captures Mets star trying his hand on classic Irish sport
Although the postseason ended earlier than Pete Alonso likely would have wanted, the Mets first baseman did not waste a moment in getting the offseason started. Recently, Alonso's wife Haeley dropped a series of pictures of herself exploring the Emerald Isle with her husband.
In a series of pictures posted from Ireland, Haley Alonso shared the green and misty snaps of the next leg of their European trip - Ireland. The pictures included shots of cozy pubs, the Cliffs of Moher in County Clare, as well as Alonso trying his hands at camogie, a popular Irish sport for girls.
Alonso and his Mets were eliminated by the Los Angeles Dodgers on October 20 in the NLDS. A disappointment to be sure, the Alonsos did not waste time in getting away. Nearly right after the Mets' elimination, Haley and Pete made for Europe.
In early November, Haley dumped a slew of images from their vacation in Paris. Some of the activities included sightseeing, shopping, and eating at Lafayette's, an upscale restaurant in the center of the French capital.

Pete Alonso first met in 2015, when the first baseman was playing in the Cape Cod League. Although she is originally from Massachusetts, Haley attended college in Michigan. The pair finally closed the gap in 2019, when Alonso made his MLB debut for the New York Mets. They became a married couple on November 12, 2021.
Pete Alonso and wife Haley enjoy some much-needed offseason bonding
Set to be in Europe for their third wedding anniversary on November 12, it is clear that Alonso and his wife Haley enjoy a special bond. As Pete himself wrote in a note obtained by PEOPLE ahead of his 2022 first anniversary:
“Today marks the one year anniversary of the most special moment of my life. I am the luckiest man alive to marry the love of my life!!! It’s been so incredible being your husband and I can’t wait for everything ahead of us. I love you so much"
As Alonso enters a crucial contract offseason with the Mets, it is clear that his biggest supporter will remain by his side.
