Since first meeting in 2019, Ronald Acuna Jr. and his wife Maria have been inseperable, and serve as each other's primary motivators in life. Now the proud parents to two children, Maria recently took to her Instagram to show off the richness of their family life.
On Sunday, Maria took to Instagram to share a flurry of images on her Instagram story. After showing off her simple, yet elegant white cropped shirt and bootleg jeans, Maria turned to showing off some smiles with her two sons, Ronald and Jamal.
A native of northern Venezuela, Maria began to model at a young age. In 2015, she won the Miss Teen Carabobo Beauty Pageant before representing her home state in the Miss Teen Venezuela Pageant. Boasting well over 120,000 followers on Instagram, Maria has since worked with brands like Zara, Forever21, and H&M.
In 2019, she met Ronald Acuna Jr., who also comes from Venezuela. At the time of their meeting, Acuna was in his second career MLB season with the Atlanta Braves. The pair were married in 2023, and currently reside in Marietta, Georgia with their two sons.

After tearing his ACL in 2021, Ronald Acuna Jr. returned to the field in 2022. In 2023, the outfielder became the first player in MLB history to record at least 70 stolen bases while hitting 40 or more home runs. However, in May 2024, Acuna Jr. tore his ACL once again in a game against the Pittsburgh Pirates, effectively shutting the door on his season.

While an ACL tear is no trivial injury, it is not Acuna's first time. As such, the reigning NL MVP knows what works for him on the path to recovery. As Ronald Acuna Jr. recently told MLB.com. he expects to be ready for the start of next season:
“I think [I'm] going to be patient, we’re really going to focus on my hitting and fielding and anything I can do to help the team win. In regards to running and stealing those bases, I don’t know if I’ll be able to steal the 40 or 50 bags as easily."
While patience may come as a challenge, at least Acuna has an offseason with his young and growing family to look forward to.
