The Kansas City Royals have been one of the surprise teams in the MLB this season. They have been led by Bobby Witt Jr. who is having an MVP-like season, and they have a favorable schedule coming up.

8. San Diego Padres

The San Diego Padres have looked good as of late. The return of Fernando Tatis Jr. and Manny Machado getting hot has the club looking competent going into the last few weeks of the regular season.

7. Milwaukee Brewers

The Milwaukee Brewers have held control of the National League Central nearly all year. However, they have a tough stretch of games to close out the season that will really test them.

The Houston Astros have put the pieces together at just the right time. Their pitching staff has gotten healthier, and they just welcomed lugger Kyle Tucker back into the lineup, which is not good for the rest of the MLB.

4. Baltimore Orioles

The Baltimore Orioles could help themselves over the next week. They have a series against the Detroit Tigers and San Francisco Giants. They then play the Tigers once again before matching up with the New York Yankees toward the end of the month.

3. Philadelphia Phillies

The Philadelphia Phillies have looked great. they are in prime position to finish atop the National League East. From the pitching staff to the offense, the club has been rocking.

However, Kyle Schwarber left the game ON Tuesday with an elbow issue, and It could be huge if he has to miss time.

2. New York Yankees

While Aaron Judge has seemingly been missing at the plate, that should not last too long. He could explode this week, and if he does, the New York Yankees will go back to being one of MLB's top teams.

1. Los Angeles Dodgers

There is no denying how good the Los Angeles Dodgers look this season. Even without Mookie Betts or Yoshinobu Yamamot for a large stretch, they have been able to keep the ball rolling.

They finish up their series against the Miami Marlins and then take on the Atlanta Braves. LA should maintain the top spot, and it will be tough for another MLB squad to overtake them.
