Aaron Judge's continuing struggles in World Series draws reaction from Andre Agassi & Coco Gauff's ex-coach

New York Yankees captain Aaron Judge is being criticized from all corners of sports for his dismal performance in the ongoing World Series against the Dodgers. This time, joining the criticism is Andre Agassi and Coco Gauff's coach, Brad Gilbert.

Judge hasn't lived up to the expectations he raised in the regular season (58 home runs). In contrast, he has only hit .150 with six hits, two homers, six RBIs and six runs scored in 11 games. And while the Yankees reached the World Series, thanks in large part to Giancarlo Stanton's heroics in the ALCS, Judge's lackluster performance is hampering the Yankees up against the Dodgers, as they are already down 2-0 in the series.

Gilbert took to social media to take a jibe at Aaron Judge.

"Crazy 🤪 as amazing as the Judge was this year👨‍⚖️ atm is just a strikeout like 50% in the playoffs," Gilbert wrote.

Aaron Judge gets blasted by Stephen A. Smith

Leading the criticism wagon is prominent ESPN analyst Stephen A. Smith, who is "disgusted" with lackluster Aaron Judge numbers in the postseason.

"I am so disgusted with Aaron Judge," Smith said on his ESPN show "First Take." "…What the hell is going on with Aaron Judge? Ladies and gentlemen, this man, Aaron Judge — who had batted .336 with an on-base percentage of .509 with runners in scoring position during the regular season — the man is one-for-nine with no RBIs, six strikeouts in the World Series. He’s hitting .150 in the postseason."

History suggests Aaron Judge has never been great in October. In 55 postseason career games, Judge is only hitting .199 with 42 hits, 15 home runs, 31 RBIs and 35 runs scored.

After Game 2's 4-2 loss, Judge acknowledged his unimpressive showing, saying he needs to step up.

“I’ve definitely got to step up, I’ve got to do my job,” Judge said. “Guys around here are doing their job, getting on base. I’m failing them, backing them up. We’ve got to turn it around.”

If the Yankees are to comeback in the World Series, they need Aaron Judge & Co. firing all cylinders. The captain needs to come up big time, or else the 15-year World Series drought won't be eradicated anytime soon.
