Alex Bregman's wife Reagan's 3-word reaction to Astros star husband winning Gold Glove award says it all

Alex Bregman and his wife Reagan have often been on social media to share their daily activities with their son, Knox. On Sunday night, however, Reagan had a different point of focus as her husband claimed an elusive award.

For the first time since Alex Bregman made his major league debut, the third baseman won a Gold Glove Award. It has been a long time coming for the New Mexico native who is known more for his offense at the plate than his defense on the diamond.

On Instagram, Reagan congratulated her husband and showed her pride in Alex's accomplishment, writing:

"Proud of you."

Reagan has stood by her husband for several years now, getting engaged in January 2020 and ultimately tying the knot in December of that year.

A graduate of Texas A&M University, she met Alex while working for tech giant Google in Austin.

The couple has one child, Knox, who was born on Aug. 1, 2022.

Alex Bregman enters free agency

All-Star Alex Bregman will bring his 2024 Gold Glove Award at third base to the negotiation table as he seeks a better contract this winter. The 30-year-old is officially a free agent after his contract with the Houston Astros came to an end.

After being drafted No. 2 in the 2015 MLB draft by Houston, Bregman became the first position player of the class to reach the majors. He was called up to the main squad and debuted for the Astros on July 25, 2016, against the New York Yankees.

In nine years at Space City, the third baseman has been an integral part of the modern-day dynasty of the Houston Astros. Bregman has won two World Series titles, been selected to two All-Star teams, has been named to an All-MLB Second Team, won a Silver Slugger Award and most recently, a Gold Glove Award.

Alex Bregman has compiled a .272/.366/.438 slash line with 191 home runs and 663 RBIs over the course of his nine-year career. Projected to sign a long-term contract priced at around $170 million, the two-time World Series champion is arguably the highest-rated third baseman in this year's free agency class.

One of the last members of the 2017 Astros championship squad that stayed with the club, it will be interesting to see where Bregman lands next and whether he will sign with a contending team or one in the middle of rebuilding.
