"Amazing double play to end the game with a W" - Freddie Freeman's wife Chelsea captures son Charlie's impressive baseball performance
Los Angeles Dodgers first baseman Freddie Freeman could have a future baseball player in his household. His son Charlie showed his hitting for which everyone cheered, but the best one came from his proud mom, Chelsea Freeman.
On Sunday, Chelsea took to her Instagram to show how well her son played. Charlie, who was wearing a red and blue jersey, barreled the fastball to right field. He then runs through the bases to complete a triple.
“Charlie with a Triple, 3-3 today. And started an amazing double play today to end the game with a W.”
“Never thought it was possible to be at more baseball games than I’ve been in the last 12 years but here I am,” Chelsea wrote in her story.
This is not the first time the world has seen Charlie play baseball this year. On March 30th, during Freddie Freeman’s bobblehead night at the Dodgers stadium, Charlie threw the first ceremonial pitch of the night. The stadium, seeing the kid throw, erupted with cheers.
Chelsea reposted a video on her story on Tuesday celebrating the 6th Grand Slam of her husband’s career against the Arizona Diamondbacks that helped the Dodgers win that day.
Freddie Freeman is batting .284, including 30 RBIs with a .833 OPS. In the series finale game against the Cincinnati Reds over the weekend, Freddie hit an RBI double in the ninth inning off a 91-mph pitch from Carson Spiers. The ball ended in the left-center field, allowing Shohei Ohtani to score. However, the Dodgers lost to the Reds 4-1.
When Chelsea Freeman posted a cute father-son moment
In 2020, Chelsea posted a video on X that showed a cute heartwarming moment in which Freddie and her son Charlie played baseball in the backyard. When Freddie got hold of the ball, he launched a home run straight out of the fence and little Charlie’s reaction was priceless.
After Charlie saw the ball going high over the fence, he looked at Freddie for once and then threw the remaining balls on the ground. Following the little one's reaction, Freddie also threw his bat on the ground and both ran to get back the ball.
Chelsea and Freddie married in 2014 and welcomed Charlie in 2016.
