"Begging for my bath water" – Paul Skenes' girlfriend Olivia Dunne reveals bizarre interactions with online trolls
While Paul Skenes has been turning heads with the Pittsburgh Pirates, his girlfriend, Olivia Dunne, is a star in her own right. On Instagram alone, she has 5.3 million followers compared to Skenes' 549,000 followers.
She has amassed much of her following through her gymnastics career at LSU. And while there was a chance of her not coming back for her fifth year, she recently revealed her plans to return to the school in the fall.
With such a reach on social media, she is bound to come across some outlandish fans. She recently went on an episode of "Best of Both Worlds with Flau'jae" to discuss some of her more weird experiences with fans.
"You know what? For a really long time in my comment section, people [were] asking me for my bath water," Dunne said.
Dunne explains that there was a period of time where fans requested her bath water.
"I was like, 'What has my life come to to think these people are begging for bath water?' But, it has kind of settled down at this point, but that was a crazy one that I'll never forget," Dunne said.
Luckily, the requests have tapered off, but still, what a crazy world we live in. Despite the weird requests, Dunne had fun trolling some of these fans.
Olivia Dunne defends her fame
Success does not come without its haters, and Olivia Dunne has experienced her fair share of people who do not think she deserves what she has. She defended herself and how she worked to get to where she is currently at.
"People being like, 'She doesn't deserve anything she has' and that 'gymnastics isn't a real sport' and stuff like that. Okay, but would you be saying that if you were in my shoes?" Dunne said.
If it was as easy as others are making it, everyone would be in Dunne's shoes. But, it is not. She has worked tirelessly to put herself in this position.
She will have a chance to fire back at the haters later this year when the college gymnastics season starts. She and LSU are coming off their first-ever National Championship, beating California, Utah, and Florida.
All eyes will be on the Tigers and Dunne as they look to defend their title this season.
