Blake Snell's 4-word reaction to meeting Zach LaVine captures their bond

On Monday, January 20, Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Blake Snell was pictured courtside at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California, shaking hands with Chicago Bulls star Zach LaVine, after the NBA game between the Bulls and the Clippers came to an end.

Snell, who appears to good friends with LaVine, later re-shared the post to his Instagram story, along with four-word caption that sums up their bond.

"My brudda fr lol" Blake Snell captioned his post.

The game turned out to be quite a high-scoring encounter, with Zach LaVine dropping 35 points to inspire the Bulls to a 112-99 win.

Heading into the game, few would have expected the result to turn out as it did, with the Clippers having enjoyed a much better season than their opponents, sitting fifth in the Western Conference standings with a 24-18 record. The Bulls, on the other hand, sit 10th in the Eastern Conference with a 19-25 record.

Chicago Bulls fans will be hoping for more of the same from LaVine in upcoming games, if the six-time NBA championship winners are to have any chance of making it to the playoffs this season.

Blake Snell will be looking to impress in his first season with the Los Angeles Dodgers

Blake Snell had a strong 2024 season with the San Francisco Giants, finishing with a 5-3 win/loss record, a 3.12 ERA and 145 total strikeouts. Despite his best efforts, however, the Giants finished the season fourth in the NL West, missing out on qualification for the postseason.

After the season came to an end, the 32-year-old chose to enter free agency, apparently feeling that a better offer would eventually come around in the winter.

That's exactly what ended up happening, and Snell went on to sign a five-year, $182 million contract with the reigning World Champions.

Snell is set to be a key member of Dave Roberts' pitching rotation. The two-time Cy Young award winner will no doubt be eager to show his quality on the mound and endear himself to fans at Dodger Stadium.
