Brandon Crawford's mom Lynn celebrates Yankees ace Gerrit Cole and wife Amy's marriage anniversary with a heartwarming throwback snap

On Tuesday, Yankees ace Gerrit Cole and his wife Amy celebrated their eighth marriage anniversary. On the occasion, she received a warm wish from her mother Lynn on social media.

Amy Cole belongs to a baseball family. She is the sister of Brandon Crawford, a former San Francisco Giants player, and Jenna Crawford, a former softball player for the Bruins.

Amy Cole reshared Lynn's post, which had throwback snaps of the couple's marriage on Nov. 12, 2016.

Gerrit Cole and Amy tied the knot eight years ago, it all started with a sweet gesture

Gerrit Cole and Amy Crawford met on the UCLA Bruins campus, where they were both athletes. The pair started as friends, sharing morning workouts. It took a year before Crawford agreed to go on a date with Cole, all thanks to a sweet gesture from the ace pitcher.

"I was moving into my new apartment, and Gerrit drove an hour and a half after a wedding just to help me move. My mom was there with me, and he showed up with a bouquet of flowers for her birthday," Amy Cole said via People. "That's the day I decided to take him up on that first-date offer from the year prior."

After the 2015 All-Star game, Cole, who had been dating Crawford since his time with the Bruins, took his partner to a resort, where he went down on one knee to propose to her.

"It was our week to celebrate his huge accomplishment, yet he still managed to make it about me," Amy Cole told Inside Weddings. "That pretty much sums up Gerrit."

The couple eventually tied the knot at The Ritz-Carlton in Santa Barbara on Nov. 12, 2016, in California, surrounded by close family and friends.

The couple welcomed their first child, Caden Gerrit Cole, in June 2020. They welcomed their second child, a girl, Everett, in January 2023.
