Bryce Harper's wife Kayla uses platform to raise awareness about the Kellogg’s boycott for continuing to 'poison America's children'
Bryce Harper and wife Kayla usually utilize their social media to share their life as a family. Kayla is fond of posting snippets of quality family time with their three children.
In Kayla's recent Instagram story, she shared a post about boycotting American food manufacturer Kellogg's. The boycott is just one of a series of controversies that the famous cereal-maker has been embroiled in during the past year.
The brand went under fire after their campaign, wherein they discouraged families to cook dinner and instead eat cereal. In a follow up interview, CEO Gary Pilnick didn't do the company favors when he stated that cereals were quite more affordable than actual food. However, Pilnick said this just as the price per unit of Kellogg's products was hiked up.
The company is now being boycotted as mothers and concerned citizens want to discontinue the use of food dyes on their food products. Kellogg's initially promised to do the step a decade ago but failed to deliver on their promise.
In a 2021 report, color additives in food had been linked to neurobehavioral problems and hyperactivity for children. This forced the state of California to ban six food dyes in the state.
