"Can't keep him out" - Jackson Holliday's wife Chloe captures dog Coconut's adorable playtime in the pool
Baltimore Orioles rookie Jackson Holliday played his first season in the MLB after being picked first overall in the 2022 draft. He was well supported throughout the season by his wife Chloe and their pet dog, whom they adopted in March and named Coconut.
Holliday's debut season was part of two stories. His first stint saw him go 2 for 34 from the plate in the first 10 games in April, which prompted the Orioles to option him back to minors for development. Then he returned on July 31 and since then saw the end of the season. His Orioles bowed out of the postseason after being swept by the Kansas City Royals.
With the season done, Holliday and Chloe returned home and reunited with their furry pet Coconut. On Sunday, Coconut enjoyed himself in the pool, something he loves to do, as Chloe said.
"Coconut is obsessed with the pool," she wrote. "Can't keep him out of it HAHAHA."
Earlier after the season ended after going down against the Royals in the wild-card series, Chloe took to Instagram to reflect on Jackson Holliday's season.
"WHAT a szn & wild ride this year! Love being by your side always! Thank you Lord for another szn with my guy, cheering you on forever🧡🧡🧡" she wrote in the caption of the post.
Chloe Holliday captures heartfelt reunion between Jackson Holliday and Coconut
Being a ball player, especially in the MLB, requires one to go on long trips, meaning having to stay away from loved ones for an extended period of time.
Earlier in September, Holliday went on a long road trip with the Orioles on the West Coast, which finally ended with a three-game series against the Colorado Rockies in Denver. Upon return to Baltimore, his pet Coconut jumped onto him, embracing him as both shared a warm hug.
Behind the camera was Chloe, who captured this heartfelt reunion.
"All together again," Holliday's wife wrote in her story.
Jackson Holliday and Chloe started dating in the sophomore year of their high school in Stilwater, Oklahoma. They got engaged in December 2022, after the rookie proposed to Chloe while on a trip to Mexico. In January, the couple exchanged vows in the presence of loved ones.
