Carlos Rodon's wife Ashley blasts fans for vile messages after Yankees star's tough start against Red Sox
New York Yankees pitcher Carlos Rodon lost to the Boston Red Sox on Saturday, allowing three earned runs in five innings. That decision turned into a bigger story over the weekend after the team's fans took out their frustration on him.
Rodon and and his wife Ashley received hateful messages after the game, including horrible language. Ashley called out those fans on her Instagram story as she shared screenshots of messages they received.
"5 innings... 3ER 😂 I mean not his best but definitely not kill yourself bad..Shesh," Ashley wrote.

Rodon has been a journeyman throughout his career, but is now a key member of the Yankees.
Despite Saturday's defeat, Rodon is 8-5 with a 3.01 ERA. New York and Boston have one of the best rivalries in Major League Baseball, but the fans' messages were uncalled for.
The Houston Astros' Lance McCullers Jr. also received similar messages this season. It prompted the team to provide 24-hour security until an investigation was completed.
Carlos Rodon drops huge compliment to teammate Aaron Judge
Carlos Rodon is in his third season with the New York Yankees, and has seen the greatness of Aaron Judge up close. Rodon recently joined Jon Heyman and Joel Shermna on an episode of "The Show," where he discussed the Yankees captain.
"And, you know, here we are, year three with Aaron Judge, and he finally gets off to a hot start, and he's hitting .400," Rodon said on May 29 (37:15)." So, we haven't, this is more of uncharted territory as far as being the bystander watching Aaron Judge.
"So it's interesting. There's no one to compare it to. I think Barry Bonds, but I didn’t play with him. But I got to watch him, and you guys did as well. I think that would be pretty close, although Barry, I mean, for me, is still kind of in a tier of his own. But he's very, very close to that."
Rodon and Judge are both key pieces of the Yankees, which are looking to make a run to the 2025 World Series.
