Carlos Rodon's wife Ashley captures adorable moment of kids taking over 'dad's side' of bed while pitcher hits the road for next ALCS game
New York Yankees starter Carlos Rodon is traveling with the team for their American League Championship Series against the Cleveland Guardians.
While Rodon is away on his postseason assignment with the Bronx Bombers, his wife Ashley shared an adorable moment from back home. In her latest Instagram story, Ashley showcased one of their three kids sleeping on dad's side of the bed.
"Perks of an unoccupied daddy side," Ashley captioned the post.
Rodon is currently accompanying the Yankees to Cleveland for the next three games of the Championship Series at Progressive Field after winning the first two games at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx.
The 31-year-old tied the knot with Ashley in 2018 in Costa Rica after reportedly being in a relationship for four years. The duo welcomed the first of their three children, Willow, in 2019.
Carlos Rodon praises wife Ashley's toughness after criticism from fans
Carlos Rodon's wife Ashley revealed the hate messages her family received after the Yankees starter's disastrous first postseason start for the team earlier this month.
Rodon conceded four runs in 3 ²/₃ innings against the Kansas City Royals in NLDS Game 2. His performance attracted backlash from fans on social media.
“People are pretty disgusting at times,’’ Rodon said on the theme of the messages. “But that doesn’t explain Yankee fans. I don’t think that’s who they are.
"I understand (fans) get frustrated with the game, but my message to fans all around is, ‘We are human as well. We’re not always perfect.' … Let’s not forget this is just a game and don’t threaten people’s families.”
Carlos Rodon praised Ashley for the way she took the hate from fans ahead of the championship series against the Guardians.
"Ashley and I spoke about it that night, and she said, and I quote, 'I have thick skin, so I'm gonna be okay', and she does. She's a tough lady, my wife, probably tougher than I am," Rodon said [0:16]
Carlos Rodon silenced his critics after a dominant performance on the mound in the ALCS opener against the Guardians earlier this week. The two-time All-Star pitched six innings, allowing one run over three hits while striking out nine hitters.
