Carlos Rodon's wife Ashley congratulates Haeley Ryane on joining the "No-No Club" as her partner Blake Snell achieves no-hitter milestone
San Francisco Giants starter Blake Snell did something on Friday against the Cincinnati Reds that he had never done before in his MLB career, throwing a no-hitter in a complete game. His remarkable achievement quickly grabbed the attention of the baseball community.
Blake Snell went nine innings long for the first time in his career, shutting out the Reds after 114 pitches and striking out 11, guiding the Giants to a 3-0 win over the Reds in the series opener.
One of the people who reacted to the reigning NL Cy Young winner's feat was Yankees starter Carlos Rodon's wife Ashley, who shared a clip of Snell from his post-game interview, tagging Snell's partner Haeley.
"I'm crying, No-No club!" Ashley wrote in the caption.
The clip shared by Rodon's wife had Blake Snell dissing the critics in the post-game interview on Friday.
"They can't say it anymore. You know? Complete game, shutout, no-hitter. Leave me alone. 'He doesn't go into the 9th. He doesn't go into the 8th.' Just did it. Leave me alone," Snell said.
Carlos Rodon became a part of the illustrious club after his no-hitter against the Cleveland Guardians in 2021 in an 8-0 shutout win for the Chicago White Sox. Rodon's wife also celebrated former White Sox teammate Dylan Cease's no-hitter for the San Diego Padres last month.
Blake Snell's wife enjoyed Giants ace's no-hitter from a distance
Blake Snell was mobbed by his teammates after becoming the 18th Giants pitcher to throw a no-hitter and the first in almost a decade (last thrown by Chris Heton in 2015).
However, Haeley wasn't present at the Great American Ball Park to cheer her partner. Snell's partner revealed that she was enjoying the performance from home while taking care of their newborn baby.
"The most special moment, I'm so incredibly proud of you Snellzilla, Thank you God," she wrote in a caption.
Also thank you @jordyn_pagan for filming this for me while I whisper screamed at my TV from home, trying not to wake my baby," she added in her story.
Snell and Hayler Mar announced the arrival of their newest family member on June 6 after the Giants pitcher was taken off the paternity list following the birth of his first child.
