Carlos Rodon's wife Ashley dubs husband 'Daddy Las' after Yankees pitcher turns heads in all-black attire
Ahead of Friday's game against the Boston Red Sox, Carlos Rodon and fellow New York Yankees teammates arrived at the Yankee Stadium with stylish pre-game fits. The Yankees starter had the most simple yet stunning look. Rodon was in all-black attire complementing his smile.
Though not scheduled to pitch in Friday's game, Rodon had a good game in his last start against the Kansas City Royals earlier this week. He pitched six innings for two earned runs while striking out nine hitters.
Rodon's wife Ashley was sold to Rodon's simplicity. She took to social media and re-shared the photos while dubbing her husband "Daddy Las."
Here is how his other teammates made the style statement while entering the facility:
As for Friday's game, the Yankees registered a come-from-behind 5-4 victory over their arch-rivals, the Red Sox. The game also saw Aaron Judge break his 16-game home run drought as he led the five-run rally for the win.
Carlos Rodon and Ashley to organize Willow Gala in month end
The Carlos Rodon Foundation and Ashley's Nest Egg Foundation came together to start "Willow Grant," a financial incentive for those couples who are struggling to become parents. Through the grant, aspiring families can take advantage of in-vitro fertilization (IVF), an expensive but highly successful process to get pregnant.
On September 30, both organizations will hold the inaugural Willow Gala at The Delamar Greenwich Harbor, where donors will meet and contribute to the cause. In the latest update, all the tickets to the Gala have been sold as the couple starts their preparation for a grand inaugural.
The inspiration behind "Willow Grant" is Carlos Rodon and Ashley's firstborn daughter Willow, thus the namesake. Even Ashley and Carlos struggled to conceive during their early stages, as she had to go through two miscarriages. The couple also had an appointment booked for IVF therapy. However, they soon got to know that Ashley had become pregnant.
Inspiring from their own struggles to become parents, the two started making an impact by helping parents financially through "Willow Grant."
