“Commence parent era” - Blake Snell and girlfriend Haeley Mar announce baby news with heartwarming social media snapshots
Blake Snell is coming off a stellar season with the San Diego Padres. He started 32 games, compiling a 14-9 record with a league-leading 2.25 ERA, which led to him winning his second Cy Young Award.
As a free agent, Snell is in contract talks with teams, and preparing for the upcoming season. However, there is another thing Snell must prepare for, and that is fatherhood.
Snell and his girlfriend, Haeley Mar, are expecting a child. Mar excitingly posted the life update on her Instagram, while many wished the couple the best of luck.
"Commence parent era" Mar posted.
The couple have been together for over two years, and they often feature each other on social media. This will be Blake Snell's first foray into fatherhood.
Taking a look at Blake Snell's partner, Haeley Mar
Blake Snell's girlfriend, Haeley Mar, holds a master's degree in communication management and marketing from the University of Southern California. She once worked as an inside sales representative for the Chicago Bulls before making her way to becoming a marketing manager and freelance digital influencer.
In 2016, she started working for the Russell Wilson Passing Academy as a marketing and event planner. During this stretch, she also worked as a model for TCM Models. Mar has also interned for football gameday recruiting at the University of Washington, where Snell's mother works.
Haeley's younger sister, Hunter, also has a relationship with a professional athlete. She is dating NBA superstar Zach LaVine. She also has another younger sister named Kaiya.
Snell and Mar have three dogs that keep them plenty busy. Snell named one of his dogs after Seattle Mariners' legend Ken Griffey Jr. The dog has been with Snell ever since he was in the minors. Growing up in Washington, Griffey was Snell's favorite player.
Snell's other dog, Duece, is younger and has been featured on his Instagram plenty. Haeley was the one who named Duece and said that he loves to dance.
Given their compassion for their fur babies, the couple should have no problem in parenthood. We wish Snell and Mar a healthy pregnancy and the best of luck with their venture into being first-time parents.
