"Congrats on a new low" "Should've spent that billion a lil wiser" - Dodgers fans disgusted after team falls apart late in loss to Tigers

The Los Angeles Dodgers faced the Detroit Tigers for Game 2 of their three-game series on Saturday. While LA would get the better of Detroit in Game 1, Game 2 was a different story.

Detroit scored seven unanswered runs in the ninth and tenth innings, giving them a come-from-behind win. They would win the game 11-9, improving their record to 46-50.

There was no shortage of offense for either team, but LA's bullpen imploded late in the game. They combined to give up six runs, which is not a good sign given the state of the starting rotation.

Dodgers fans were upset with the loss. While they still hold a commanding lead in the National League West, they have struggled this month and could use the All-Star break to regroup.

"In a season full of embarrassing losses, congrats on a new low" - said a fan.
"Should've spent that billion a lil wiser" - said another.
"That has got to be the worst loss of the season" - said another.

This is a series that LA should have no problem handling, but that is not the case. Now, it comes down to the deciding Game 3 on Sunday to see who takes the series.

"Unbelievable- this is a very bad loss. Very bad. This team is not very good right now. You can make excuses, but this is disgraceful" - said another.
"Yall can't be serious" - said another.
"Sell all the pitchers I'm done burh" - said another.

If LA were to lose this series on Sunday, the fanbase would come unglued. They cannot be struggling against teams they are inherently better than. While it is a long season, every game matters.

The MLB Trade Deadline is right around the corner, and teams are starting to pursue players more aggressively. The Dodgers are expected to make some moves here and get better for the second half.

They have reportedly discussed the Chicago White Sox about Luis Robert Jr., Garrett Crochet, and Tommy Pham. All three players could bolster the lineup instantly.

While Pham would be cheap, Crochet and Robert Jr. should command a huge return. It will be interesting to see just how serious Los Angeles is with trying to acquire any of these players.
