Crawford and Kathy are already pet parents to two huskies, namely, Loki and Thor, alluding to their fandom for the Marvel characters. They adopted them in 2013 after he graduated from high school and before the Philadelphia Phillies picked him in that year's draft.

The mother of Loki and Thor is Elena, who initially lived with Kathy's brother but moved into the new Crawford household in Seattle after the Mariners signed the shortstop to a five-year, $51 million extension in 2022.

Kathy and JP Crawford have been together since their time at Lakewood High School.

JP Crawford's huskies rejoice after seeing the shortstop walk off against Astros

Last month, JP Crawford led a walk-off victory against the Houston Astros, winning the game 3-2 at T-Mobile Park. The celebrations were jubilant on the field — and also in the Crawford household.

Kathy uploaded a story showing Crawford's two huskies rejoicing after seeing him on their TV screen. Both Luke and Thor howled in celebration.

“I got a good laugh out of it,” Crawford said, via MLB.com. “It's so funny to see them get going like that. It doesn't take a lot to get them howling like that. So it was cool to see.”
“They've done it before,” Crawford added. “Anytime anyone starts screaming back at the house, they just start going immediately. So it's really funny to see.”

The Crawford family will soon see an expansion, as a baby is on the way to play with the three huskies at their Seattle home.
