Devin Williams' girlfriend Maggie Badock sends 4-word message after 2x All-Star made his feelings known post Brewers to Yankees trade
The New York Yankees have been busy in the offseason, and after missing out on superstar outfielder Juan Soto, the Bronx Bombers have added a couple of pitchers to the roster. While the Yankees strengthened the rotation after signing All-Star starter Max Fried, they added a reliable arm in the bullpen this week after trading for two-time All-Star closer Devin Williams.
Williams, a two-time National League Reliever of the Year, was traded from the Milwaukee Brewers in exchange for Nestor Cortes Jr. and Caleb Durbin. The Yankees also paid $2 million as part of the deal. The 2020 Rookie of the Year started his MLB journey with the Brewers in 2019, and on Friday, he made his feelings known about the franchise after his move to New York.
"Thank you Milwaukee! This city & the fans will always hold a special place in my heart. I'm forever grateful to the Brewers for giving me the opportunity to go out and show the world what can do. With that being said.. I'm excited for the next chapter! See you soon New York!" Williams wrote in a heartfelt Instagram post.
Devin Williams' girlfriend Maggie Badock had a four-word reaction to the All-Star righty ace's message.
"Proud of you always," Badock commented on the post.

Williams and Maggie reportedly started dating in 2016 and have been together since. Maggie is his biggest supporter, and after his move to New York was made official this week, she made her feelings known via an Instagram post.
"Nyc dreams coming true, but bitter sweet to say bye to the Brewers after many years with the org! So grateful for the time we've had in MKE, so much love forever," she captioned her Instagram story.
Devin Williams had a tough start to the 2024 season as he made his first appearance in late July due to injuries. But it didn't hamper his performance as the Missouri native posted an impressive 1.25 ERA in 22 appearances with 14 saves.
Williams will be a key part of the Yankees bullpen as Clay Holmes joined the New York Mets while Tim Hill and Tommy Kahnle walked into free agency.
