Diamondbacks All-Star Lourdes Gurriel Jr. makes feelings known about wife Jennifer on their 6th wedding anniversary

Diamondbacks All-Star Lourdes Gurriel Jr. wished his wife Jennifer Alvarez on their sixth wedding anniversary. The couple hails from Cuba and have been with each other for several years. Lourdes defected from Sancti Spiritus, Cuba in August 2016 to try his luck in the big leagues and ultimately signed a seven-year deal with the Blue Jays.

The couple got married on December 14, 2018, the same year Lourdes Gurriel Jr. made his big league debut with the Blue Jays. Lourdes wished his wife on their wedding anniversary via a social media post. The caption on the post read:

The couple are parents to three kids. Their eldest son Mason was spotted in Lourdes' social media post for the first time in January 2019. Their second child jan Lucas was born on January 26, 2020, Their youngest son Jordan Logan was born on November 25, 2021.

Together, the family of five reside in Phoenix, Arizona where Lourdes Gurriel Jr. has been playing professional baseball with the Diamondbacks since 2023. Last offseason, he extended his stay in Arizona after signing a three-year $42 million contract.

Currently, the Cuban slugger is enjoying family time alongside his wife Jennifer and their three sons. Despite the ongoing offseason, Gurriel Jr. is sweating it out in the gym as he gears up for the upcoming spring training in February and the 2025 MLB season in March.

Gurriel Jr. shared a social media post with his wife as the couple took part in a boxing practice session. Lourdes could be seen sitting on a chair with his gloves off while Jennifer stood beside him posing for the camera and flaunting her boxing gloves. The caption on the social media post read:

Lourdes Gurriel Jr. played in the left field for the Diamondbacks in 2024. While his defensive contributions were good, his offensive numbers were even better. He finished the regular season with a .279 batting average, 18 home runs, 75 RBIs, and a .757 OPS.
