"Do a little research. It's not that hard" - Francisco Lindor's wife Katia silences critic with bold reply over anti-immigrant slurs

Francisco Lindor's wife, Katia, spoke her mind regarding support for immigrants a few days back amid news of a TikTok ban in the U.S., which has now been lifted. One follower didn't like what she said, as the user messaged her with a rhetorical question. Katia wasn't one to shy down, as she hit back and revealed the conversation on social media.

The controversy began when Katia shared a post highlighting the difficulties of undocumented immigrants facing deportation raids and the devastating impact on their families.

However, not everyone agreed with her stance. A social media user replied to her story, writing:

“Why don’t u take in some of these illegals since your husband is a millionaire… the rest of us are just getting by and don’t want our tax dollars supporting illegals. It’s that simple!”

On Monday, Katia addressed the apparent misconceptions embedded in the comment. Her reply, which she reposted publicly with a lengthy note, read:

"Do a little research. It's not hard but I am happy to help."

Katia Lindor's lengthy reply to address the misconception of US tax dollars supporting immigrants

Along with asking the user to do some research, Katia Lindor added a lengthy note that claimed it was a misconception that the tax collected in the U.S. was being used to benefit undocumented immigrants.

“Spoiler alert! Your tax dollars are not supporting undocumented immigrants,” she began.

In her response, Katia pointed out that undocumented immigrants are not eligible for federal aid programs like Medicaid, SNAP or Social Security because such benefits require proof of citizenship or legal status.

She claimed that many undocumented immigrants do pay taxes through income, sales and property taxes—often without being able to access the benefits those taxes fund.

“A lot of this misunderstanding comes from political rhetoric and misinformation, which oversimplifies a complex issue,” Katia wrote. “In truth, undocumented immigrants contribute a lot to the economy while receiving very little in return.
“Hope this helps clear up the incorrect, discriminatory/racist rhetoric some people have come to believe.”

This isn't the first time Katia Lindor has taken a stand on national issues, especially those concerning immigrants, and it won't be the last as well.
