Dodgers ace Tyler Glasnow accurately predicts Colby Covington vs. Joaquin Buckley winner at UFC on ESPN 63
Tyler Glasnow was among the several big MLB stars in attendance at UFC on ESPN 63 at the Amalie Arena in Tampa Bay, Florida. Headlined by a welterweight matchup between Colby Covington and Joaquin Buckley, the fight night event produced seven finishes, four in the six-fight main card.
Having previously played for the Tampa Bay Rays before joining the Dodgers, Glasnow and his girlfriend, Meghan Murphy, were enthusiastic about the fights. During the event, the ace pitcher shared his prediction for the main event in a quick interview with UFC’s official Instagram channel.
"Hey, this is Tyler Glasnow (at) UFC Tampa, and I'm going (Joaquin) Buckley. I gotta do it. I feel it. Feel's right for me," Glasnow said.
The main event of UFC Tampa (UFC on ESPN 63) unfolded exactly as Tyler Glasnow had predicted. Buckley secured victory in the third round after referee Dan Miragliotta paused the fight to allow the cage-side doctor to examine Covington's right eyelid, which had suffered a horizontal cut.
Following the instructions from the doctor, Miragliotta called off the fight. This marks Buckley’s fourth consecutive win in the UFC’s welterweight division, a significant turnaround after an average record in the middleweight division.
Only Jack Della Maddalena, Shavkat Rakhmonov and champion Belal Muhammad hold longer active winning streaks in the welterweight division.

Tyler Glasnow has been in a relationship with his girlfriend Meghan Murphy for quite some time now. She has been ever-present throughout the Dodgers' postseason run, despite Glasnow not playing due to injury.
Moreover, the couple regularly travel to exotic places in the offseason, the latest being at the African Bush Camps.
The couple also attended the recently concluded UFC on ESPN 63. Glasnow sported a black tee posing for a picture for the UFC. Meanwhile, his girlfriend, Meghan, chose a printed high-neck, long-sleeved top, wearing her hair naturally.
Glasnow’s curly, long hair complemented the couple’s stylish appearance. Meghan shared the snap from UFC's post on her Instagram story.
Tyler Glasnow was not the only MLB star who came to watch the event with their better half. Free agent Pete Alonso was there with his wife Haley.
Aaron Judge, Bo Bichette, Clark Schmidt and Shane Mclanahan also graced the event with their presence.
