Dodgers' Brusdar Graterol channels Disney character Maui with flowing hair as daughter Aria rocks as Moana in an adorable moment
LA Dodgers relief pitcher Brusdar Graterol is enjoying the offseason with his family. Graterol recently shared a heartwarming Disney-inspired moment with his daughter Aria.
On Monday, Graterol took to his Instagram story and posted a picture of him and Aria. Also featured in the story were Maui and Moana, the characters from Disney's "Moana" film franchise, starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Auliʻi Cravalho. Moana is the protagonist while Maui is a shapeshifting demigod.
The story also included the "You’re Welcome" soundtrack from the 2016 film, sung by Johnson himself. Graterol channeled Maui while his daughter was Moana. Interestingly, Graterol's hairstyle was similar to Maui's.
Graterol and Aria wore casual outfits. The Dodgers pitcher had a wide smile while his daughter looked curious. His T-shirt featured the work of Jose David Andrade, a popular artist who draws monster-style baseball-related images.
In the 2024 season, the Dodgers primarily relied on Graterol as a setup reliever. He delivered strong regular season numbers, posting a 2.45 ERA over 7.1 innings pitched, with seven strikeouts and a 0.68 WHIP.
However, his performance dipped in the postseason, recording a 3.86 ERA over 2.1 innings pitched, with one strikeout and a 2.57 WHIP. Nevertheless, he is a two-time World Series champion with LA Dodgers.
Brusdar Graterol's love for his daughter, mother, and wife is unmatched
With his powerful fastball, Brusdar Graterol earned the nicknames "Bazooka" and "El Bufalo." However, it took him five years after signing with the Minnesota Twins as an international free agent to make his big league debut. One constant for Graterol throughout his baseball career is his mother Ysmalia.
After he left for the U.S., Graterol tried several times to get his mother to the country. Unfortunately, it took him some time and he only saw his mother after seven years. The mother and son had an emotional reunion in 2023 and she often features in Graterol's social media posts.
Equally, or if not more important for Graterol is his wife and daughter. He often makes his feelings known about them via his Instagram posts.
Brusdar Graterol married his wife Allison Landa on January 22, 2021, after they started dating in 2017. They welcomed their daughter in 2023.
