"Donald Trump's agenda targets naturalized citizens" - Francisco Lindor's wife Katia makes feelings known about Project 2025
New York Mets star Francisco Lindor's wife, Katia, has strongly voiced her opinion on the proposed Project 2025. For those unaware, this is a 900-page policy of wishes that would expand the power President Trump would have.
It is the product of the Heritage Foundation, a prominent right-wing research group. They admitted to the White House adopting many of their proposals when Trump won in 2016.
Katia voiced her concerns on Instagram. She is worried about the naturalized citizens who currently reside in the United States.
"On Citizenship Day, we recognize and celebrate the millions of immigrants who have embraced the oppurtunities of U.S. citizenship. For these individuals, citizenship represents a commitment to the values of democracy, equality, and shared prosperity that define our nation," said Katia.
"Naturalized citizens have long been key contributors to America's growth and success, enriching our economy, culture, and commuinities" said Katia.
She is fearful that the trump administration will look toward a denaturalization initiative. This initiative would revoke the U.S. citizenship of those naturalized citizens.
"However, it is imperative to acknowledge that these same citizens would be under attack in a Trump-Vance administration. Their Project 2025 agenda would target naturalized citizens and see those who have earned their place in this country deported," said Katia.
"The denaturalization campaign that began under Trump, and which close advisor Stephen Miller now promises to 'turbocharge' is an attack on the fundamental principles of fairness, stability, and equal rights that citizenship represents. Such policies are rooted in fear and exclusion, not in the principles of justice and equality that should guide our nation" said Katia.
Francisco Lindor welcomes 31st birthday with touching post from Katia
On Thursday, Mets superstar Francisco Lindor turned 31. The slugger welcomed his new age with a touching post from his wife, Katia.
"Happy 31st birthday to the most wonderful husband, father, and all around human!" said Katia.
His birthday comes just days after he was awarded his second straight Silver Slugger award and fourth of his career. However, he is a finalist for another award, which would make for a better birthday gift.
Francisco Lindor is a finalist for the NL MVP. He had an impressive year hitting 33 home runs and 91 runs batted in. However, the award is likely going to Shohei Ohtani and his historic year.
