"Dude has multiple athlete tramp stamps" "Lost a Geno Smith bet too" - Fans in spits as Orioles supporter gets Heston Kjerstad inked after losing bet
Baseball is entertaining, but passionate fans like Calvin Wood add something extra to that experience. During the Orioles-Rangers' third game on June 29, Wood made a bold bet on social media.
“If Heston hits this grandslam I’ll get his name tatted on my ass,” Wood tweeted on X.
Unaware of all this drama, Kjerstad went yard, giving his team a 5-2 lead with his grand slam. The moment went viral, and fans waited to see if Wood fulfilled his promise. Wood did get a brand new tattoo and shared the news on social media.
Fans couldn’t help but tease Wood for losing the bet. In 2016, he made a similar statement on NFL’s Geno Smith, which he also lost, resulting in his first bottom-back viral moment.
"Dude has multiple athlete tramp stamps," a fan commented on Instagram.
"Lost a Geno Smith bet too," a fan commented.
"Lamo dude clearly just wanted an excuse to get another ass tat," one fan commented.
"Not his first bad decision I see lol. but good on him, man of his word," a fan commented.
The Geno tat really speaks to this dudes lifestyle choices," a fan replied.
The new tattoo, crafted and printed by Baltimore Orioles (MLB) & Ravens (NFL) photoshopper Fields (@EDCburner on X), featured two baseball bats with “Heston Kjerstad” written in design and date inked with them. It sits just above the Geno Smith tattoo on his right back-bottom.
Orioles are solidifying their road to playoff
The AL East Division has two tough rivals competing for the top spot, the Baltimore Orioles and New York Yankees. With the Yankees' recent slump, the Orioles are now the new leaders of the division with a 56-32 record. They also lead the American League, solidifying their claim on playoff vacancies.
The O's nominated two of their stars for the Midsummer Classic game on July 16 at Globe Life Field in Arlington. Gunner Henderson will be playing at shortstop for the AL All-Star starters, and Adley Rutschman has been chosen as the catcher for the AL team.
They are on a hot streak, winning their previous two series. They aim to add another against the Oakland Athletics, following their victory in the series opener on Friday.
