Evan Carter's red-hot postseason form wows Rangers fans - "Legend in the making"
The Texas Rangers got on the scoreboard of the World Series Game 1 in the first inning after an RBI double by leftfielder Evan Carter off Zac Gallen drove in Corey Seager. The Rangers scored two runs to start their proceedings in Game 1.
To start the innings, after retiring Marcus Semien, the Arizona Diamondbacks starter walked lefty Corey Seager. Carter then doubled to center field, which drove in Seager. Soon after, Adolis Garcia singled to the left field, driving in Evan Carter. Gallen finally got the double play to end the innings.
Baseball fans on X were quick to erupt and gave their take on Carter and the Rangers.

World Series Game 1 between the Rangers and the Diamondbacks is at Globe Life Field. For the Diamondbacks, their right-hander Zac Gallen took the mound. On the other hand, Nathan Eovaldi started for the Rangers.
Both teams overcame their Championship Series challenge in seven games, and were even down 3-2 at one point, but eventually made a strong comeback to advance to the World Series. The Rangers took out the defending champions, Houston Astros, in the ALCS, whereas, the Diamondbacks eliminated the Philadelphia Phillies in the NLCS.
Evan Carter's 2023 postseason run
The rookie was selected as the 50th pick by the Rangers in the 2020 MLB Draft, with a $1.25 million signing bonus. Before to the 2023 season, he was invited for spring training by Texas.
On Sept. 8, Texas promoted Carter to the major leagues. He made his debut against the Oakland Athletics, getting his first career walk, stolen base and hit: a single off of Paul Blackburn.
In the regular season, Evan Carter played 23 games and had a batting average of .306 with 19 hits, five home runs, 12 RBIs and 15 runs. He has been a crucial contributor to the team's offense in the postseason. In 12 games played so far in the 2023 postseason, he maintains a batting average of .308 with 12 hits, a home run, five RBIs and eight runs.
