Francisco Lindor's wife sends 2-word message to Sean Manaea's spouse Talat after Mets re-sign pitcher for 3-year, $75,000,000 deal
On Monday, starting pitcher Sean Manaea agreed to continue his stint with the New York Mets. After entering free agency after the end of the 2024 season, he reportedly agreed to a three-year, $75 million contract with the Mets.
Just like the players on the field, it appears their partners are also quite a tight-knit unit. Superstar Francisco Lindor's wife, Katia Reguero, shared a post about Manaea's decision to stay at Citi Field, also tagging his wife, Talat Mirmalek, on Instagram.
"Merry Christmas πππ½β€οΈ @tataloojoon93" Katia Reguero captioned her Instagram story.
For the Mets, retaining Manaea has the makings of a great piece of business. The 32-year-old finished the regular season with a 12-6 record, along with a 3.47 ERA and 184 total strikeouts. He was a key part of skipper Carlos Mendoza's pitching staff throughout a historic 2024 campaign, as the Mets made it to the NLCS for the first time since 2015.
Sean Manaea heads to American Samoa to spend time guiding young baseball players
On Instagram on Dec. 11, New York Mets starting pitcher Sean Manaea posted a video about his recent trip to American Samoa. Although he was born in Indiana, Manaea is of Samoan descent, and therefore, he decided to head to the territory to spend some time sharing his wisdom with young kids who aspire to follow in his footsteps and make a career out of baseball.
"It's an honor to travel to American Samoa and contribute to teaching the next generation of baseball players π¦πΈ βΎοΈ," Sean Manaea posted.
After a strong 2024 campaign, it has been an eventful offseason for Manaea.
The lefty pitcher married longtime girlfriend Talat Mirmalek this winter in a grand ceremony at the Indianapolis Artsgarden, which was attended by plenty of big league stars such as Joe Musgrove and Francisco Lindor.
With contract negotiations now finished, Sean Manaea can now afford to focus on getting plenty of rest and spending quality time with his new wife before gearing up for the 2025 season. The Mets, after making some huge acquisitions this winter, will be hoping to go one better than they did in 2024.
