Freddie Freeman's wife Chelsea says it's "good to be back" at husband's former team stadium, shares frame with Usher & more
Los Angeles Dodgers first baseman Freddie Freeman is well-cherished among the Atlanta Braves faithful. After all, he helped them win the 2021 World Series before signing with the Dodgers the following offseason. Last week, Freeman played the four-game road series against the Braves at Truist Park.
Freeman traveled with his family, including his wife Chelsea and three sons, Charlies, Brandon and Maximus, who recently underwent a major health scare. Both teams split the four-game series.
On Friday, Chelsea uploaded a series of photos from her trip down to Atlanta in Truist Park, where she once was a regular feature in the stands. She was up in the suites, where she posed with Usher and his wife Jennifer. She also shared photos with her close friends in Atlanta.
"Always good to be back at Truist Park," she wrote in caption.
Freddie Freeman and Chelsea started dating in June 2011 and tied the knot in November 2014. The pair welcomed three sons. Their first son, Charlie, was born in Sept. 2016.
The couple welcomed their next child through a surrogate and about the same time, Chelsea also got pregnant. They welcomed Brandon on Dec. 20, 2020, and Maximus on Feb. 14, 2021.
Chelsea Freeman re-shares Freddie Freeman tying Babe Ruth's doubles record
While it's easy to get lost amid the Shohei Ohtani fanfare, Freddie Freeman also reached a milestone in the series against the Miami Marlins.
A day before Ohtani reached his 50/50 feat, Freeman hit a double in Wednesday's game, which tied him up with Babe Ruth's 506 career doubles. Chelsea shared the achievement with her followers on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Freddie Freeman is the MLB's current active leader in terms of doubles in his career. Second on the list is Paul Goldschmidt, who has 443 doubles. In the all-time list led by Tris Speaker with 792 doubles, Freeman comes in at the 59th spot.
This season, the first baseman is hitting .282, including 22 home runs, 88 RBIs and nine stolen bases. With the Dodgers, Freeman will look to win his second World Series this year.
