Guardians vs. Yankees: ALCS Game 2 predictions, odds and picks — Oct. 15, MLB 2024
The New York Yankees and Cleveland Guardians will resume their seven-game series on Tuesday night. Thanks to the staggered days of the two playoff series remaining, the schedule is more normal, with all games at one place happening before an off day.
The Yankees took Game 1, though they did not dominate. The Guardians made things interesting late in the contest, and the two sides will look to get back at it later this evening.
Guardians vs. Yankees Recent Form and Records
So far, the New York Yankees are 4-1 in the playoffs. They ended the regular season on a little bit of a whimper, going 5-5 and losing the two final series in the season. They bounced back with three wins over the Kansas City Royals and now one over Cleveland.
The Cleveland Guardians are now 3-3 in the postseason. They finished the regular season on a two-game losing streak and went 5-5 in their final 10 games. The Guardians did oust the Detroit Tigers in the Wild Card Series, though.

Guardians vs. Yankees Expert Predictions
The Yankees once again didn't have their best stuff last night, leaving plenty of runners on base. They have yet to truly break out offensively, but their pitching has been so good it hasn't mattered.
Tonight, with Gerrit Cole on the mound, it likely won't matter again. Cleveland is countering with one of its best pitchers, but it's still an advantage to New York. Look for the home team to easily win this one.
