"He blows me away" - Freddie Freeman's wife Chelsea shares overwhelming pride as son Max makes big recovery progress

Freddie Freeman's son Maximus is recovering well and quickly after scary setbacks last week. Freeman's wife Chelsea shared another set of relieving updates in regards to Maximus' health and also the well-wishes they have received.

Chelsea said that the feeding tube has come out while also mentioning how proud she was with Maximus' recovery. She also added the hashtags #gbs and #gbssurvivor in reference to his Guillain-Barré syndrome, which she mentioned in one of her previous posts.

"Feeding tube came out yesterday. I am so proud of Max. The first few days we had so many scary setbacks but he has been improving so quickly. I cannot believe. He blows me away," Chelsea wrote in her story.

She was also grateful for all the wishes that the family has received, especially from the Dodgers camp.

"Got the sweetest package yesterday. Our whole Dodgers Family wrote prayers and well wishes for Max. The whole journal was filled. I read them all to Max last night," Chelsea wrote in another story.

MLB community prays for Freddie Freeman's son Maximus' health

On Friday, Chelsea shared another update where she mentioned how Maximus suffered "full-body paralysis" when taken to ER last week. She said Freddie Freeman, who was in Houston at the time, had to take his first flight home.

She informed her followers that Maximus is dealing with "a severe case of Guillain-Barré syndrome, a rare neurological condition that is especially rare in children."

Prior to Friday's update, she mentioned that the symptoms were consistent with transient synovitis. However, she also mentioned that her son has recovered well in the last 48 hours and will be completely healed soon.
