"He's the energizing bunny the Yankees needed" - MLB insider discusses the impact Jazz Chisholm Jr. has had in the Bronx

The New York Yankees acquired Jazz Chisholm Jr. from the Miami Marlins ahead of the trade deadline. He is expected to help the club clear up their third base problems during what seems to be a contending season.

Since arriving, Chisholm Jr. has been electric, especially at the plate. Through 10 games with his new team, he is hitting .262/.311/.646 with five home runs and nine runs batted in.

With the addition, the Bronx Bombers look to be the team to beat in the American League East. Fox Sports' Rob Parker joined the crew on MLB Now to discuss the impact the slugger has already made:

"The Yankees we saw they played really well earlier in the year and had some injuries, had a lull, and all of a sudden were the worst team in baseball."

Before the trade, things were looking shaky in the Bronx. Now, they have a brand new sparkplug that can help fill holes and keep the energy high. Parker said:

"This guy has so much energy and he can do so many things. He can play third base, he hits for power, he's exciting on the bases. He's the energizing bunny that the Yankees needed."

Chisholm Jr. brings a lot to the table with his game. He has shown it with the bat, but he can also play multiple positions and has plus speed on the basepaths.

Jazz Chisholm Jr. was no slouch during his tenure with the Miami Marlins, but not many expected him to look like this after arriving in the Bronx. He has done nothing but do great things with the bat in his hands since putting on the pinstripes.

His offensive prowess is a welcome addition, taking the pressure off the regulars to perform. His ability to play multiple positions also gives manager Aaron Boone some wiggle room.

Chisholm Jr. has held his own at third base during the few games he has played, but he can also slide into the outfield or cover a middle infield position. If the club decides to move on from Gleyber Torres following this season, he could easily slide over to second base.

The acquisition could not have gotten off to a better start for both sides.
