"He's Just A Window Shopper" - Trevor Bauer trolls Mexican League opponent after recording easy strikeout

Trevor Bauer continues to keep his fans posted about his journey this season in the Mexican League. The former Cy Young Award winner remains at the top of the minds of baseball fans across the globe by remaining incredibly active on social media.

As part of his attempt to earn another opportunity in the MLB, Bauer signed a contract with the Diablos Rojos del México this season. While playing in Mexico, Bauer has continued to post videos on his social media platforms highlighting some of his impressive performances while also displaying his personality on the mound.

In his most recent post, Bauer shared a video of him recording a solid strikeout of one of his opponents. The former Los Angeles Dodgers superstar used a combination of fastballs and sliders to rack up a strikeout with his opponent watching a pitch go right down the middle. After recording the strikeout, Bauer trolled his opponent by writing, "He's Just A Window Shopper," in the video.

Despite no MLB team offering Trevor Bauer a contract to this point of the season, the former Cincinnati Reds ace has proven that he has plenty of life left in his pitching arm. Through 81.0 innings this season with the Diablos Rojos del México, Bauer has posted an excellent 1.78 ERA with 117 strikeouts.

If Trevor Bauer can continue to prove that he can not only pitch at an elite level but also remain out of trouble, there is a chance that a team may look to land his services at some point. It remains to be seen when that opportunity may come, however, his performances in the Mexican League prove that he is at least able to pitch at a high level.

There have been questions about the level of competition that Trevor Bauer is facing in the Mexican League

There is no denying that the former Dodgers star is putting up some impressive numbers in the Mexican League. There have been some questions about the quality of the level of play, though.

In a 2022 interview, former Minnesota Twins player Kennys Vargas said that the league is comparable to Triple-A.

"It’s just like the Triple-A level. The Mexican League is a very competitive league," Vargas told Garrett Kroeger, Laredo Morning Times.

However, questions have yet again been raised about the quality of the competition.

Former New York Yankees star Robinson Cano has been dominating the league this season. In his final MLB season, Cano posted a poor .150 batting average, however, this year in Mexico, Cano currently owns a .446 batting average through 68 games. While several factors could be at play, it is certainly something worth questioning.
